The Butterfly Boogie

I found a secret garden, where the butterflies boogie all day.

It wasn’t hard to stay - or decide to join the play.

Their radiant display was my exhilarating delay.

I didn’t have to pay nor wanted to go away.

Indeed a memorable day…

I wrote this little poem after becoming caught up in nature down on Casuarina Coastal Reserve. Lucky I had my camera too! My name is Kathrine Carver, but I'm better known as KC. I am a full time undergraduate student, halfway through a Bachelor of Environmental Science. My passions surround photography, travel and travel writing and sustainable livelihoods for indigenous peoples worldwide. I have lived in Darwin for 20 years and I adore our Top End lifestyle, including our proximity to Asia. I have also travelled extensively throughout Timor-Leste and Papua New Guinea.
